Snacks, snacks and more snacks. When you have kids, providing snacks is one of the never-ending tasks. It just doesn’t go away… even clear through high school. Wait for it…
Mom Confession Alert!
Well, in honor of the new show MOM that will be airing on September 23rd on the CBS Television Network, I”ve been asked to share a shady mom confession or two. But, here’s the deal. You can’t judge me if you read on. You have to promise. Then, you’ll also have to spill your guts in the comments below because I know I am not the only one with a parenting confession!
Now, make sure to take note. The new show “MOM” will air on Mondays at 9:30 – 10 PM ET on CBS Television Network.
You can snag a first glimpse of the show right here:
The new show features some of my favorite ladies, Anna Faris as Christy and Allison Janney as her mother Bonnie. After watching the teaser, I really don’t feel so bad about what I am about to confess!
So… as I was saying about the whole confession thing earlier… my son is constantly HOUNDING me for snacks. When it comes to grocery shopping bags, he practically has x-ray vision. He wants to know if he can have XYZ before I even take it out of the bag.
And, that is not all!
If I so much as *think* about taking a bite out of something tasty or open a snack wrapper… my son can hear it from a flight of stairs away. Seriously.
You would think he had some kind of super powers, but alas it is just his undying urge to snack 24/7. He is to cheese sticks as a zombie is to flesh. For real.
Well, guess what kid! Mom likes to snack now and then TOO! Yes… in case you hadn’t noticed little mister… I LOVE chocolate and having an occasional cheese cracker binge is needed.
So… about the real confession. Not only do I HIDE big girl snacks sometimes, but I also wait until you are sleeping or at school to indulge. Yup, there are snacks getting eaten in this house that fly right under your radar! HA! I really hope he never reads this.
So, that’s that.
And… here is another reason that I don’t feel that bad about it.
