Euro Bistro, Providence. Discovering New Cuisine through #ReviewCrew

This post is sponsored in conjunction with the Review Crew, all opinions are my own.

It’s no secret that we love good food and that we love to try new restaurants.  What better place than Providence, RI to find unique cuisine.  I found Euro Bistro located on historic Federal Hill through where I snagged one of their gift certificates. You can save money trying new restaurants using their service. For example  you can get a $100 gift certificate for $40 which is a huge savings. In order to use this particular certificate, you need to spend $150. That is still a $60 savings which is huge!  The certificates come in various increments and also vary depending on the restaurant. Their service is great to find places to eat in your neck of the woods or even while traveling. We couldn’t be any more thrilled to have chosen this restaurant, it’s a true gem in the midst of a sea of food options in the area.

We visited the restaurant on a Thursday evening and it was relatively quiet.  The lighting was dim and it seemed to me that this would be the perfect place for a nice romantic dinner. A generous amount of Italian bread was brought to our table as well as a carafe of water. To get a good feel for all of their offerings, we started our night off with a couple of appetizers. We chose the Euro Margherita Pizza and the Stuffed Portabella Mushroom.

The apps arrived at our table hot and fresh.  The one thing that really stood out with both of the items we ordered was the fresh mozzarella. It was delicious. The pizza could have used a little more pop like garlic or more herbs. It was good, but I hoped for a little more oomph.  The portabella was very tasty, the balsamic? sauce that it was served with was really pungent and tasty. The only thing I didn’t like was the broccoli on it, it seems a little out of place with the rest of the meal. My husband on the other hand loved the broccoli with it. Next time we go, I’d definitely like to try out some of their other appetizers.

The dinner menu offers a lot of classic Italian dishes with a hint of some more modern options.  We decided on Steak Alla Mama and Gnocchi. My hubby got the Steak with potatoes and broccoli and my son opted for his with a side of penne.

My hubby absolutely loved the steak, he had recently had the same dish at another restaurant recently and didn’t enjoy it. This was only his second time having it and he is sold. Thought the cut of steak was cooked to perfection. The portion is also generous. He even mentioned it a couple of days later to reassure me that he really loved it. (I think he was trying to drop a subtle hint about going back).

The Gnocchi was out of this world, at times I can get bored with a dish like this… but not at Euro Bistro. The sauce, fresh mozzarella and herbs were all put together with perfection. This was probably the best Gnocchi dish I’ve ever had.

Now in case you weren’t already impressed, perhaps the best part of our whole night was dessert. That’s if you can imagine that it got any better after all the delicious food we’d already eaten.

We decided to go all out and get 4 desserts to split. Everything looked so delicious and unique that we couldn’t possibly not try as many as we could.

The Bomba is a chocolate covered cinnamon vanilla and chocolate gelato ball with cherry and almond center. Unbelievable. Big portion. The chocolate was ridiculously rich.

Next up? Cappuccino Truffle. This is cappuccino gelato with an espresso center covered with coffee flavored meringue sprinkles.

We also wanted to try some classics like Tiramisu and NY Cheesecake.  Both were rich and made to perfection.  We must have these again! I feel full just thinking about it!

One of the other important things that made this the perfect evening out  was our waitress. She was really awesome, friendly and made the whole experience even that more fun! I’d highly recommend popping into Euro Bistro for the perfect meal!

  1. Oh boy, look at those desserts! YUM! My big regret with dining is that I’m always too full to order dessert. If I were in your neck of the woods, I think I’d want to come back twice – once to order the steak and once to order just the desserts, LOL!

  2. Wow! You had me at desserts. I would have came with you just to get those. Of course, my husband is allergic to chocolate so if we had went together I would have had to eat his portion. 🙂
